i came across this magnificent little radio by tivoli yesterday and after reading its favorable reviews began wanting to hear how npr would sound purring through it. what sweet irony that it evokes the feeling of a simpler time and yet has cell phone technology within its walls?

tonight is the first official post of what i hope to become a reflection of what i find inspiring, beautiful, mouth-watering and tap dance worthy. and so, in a simple tribute to newness, here are some new bands to my life that have sent chills up my arms:
